.Ohh it was like that for sure! I remember snow forts with port hole from which to pelt unsuspecting victims with snowballs...... being able to skate the entire 1/4 mile length of the road I grew up on.

and I miss shoveling snow! NOT!!
Pop22 I see you've had a mild winter so far. Shouldn't those snow banks be six feet by now and riddled with tunnels and forts holding snow ball reserves? An occasional car that won't move til spring?
I guess childhood memories always seem bigger. Pity the delivery truck on our street during a battle. Hostilities would stop to pepper the invader from both sides. I liked our snowball wars. Nobody won, nobody lost then we had cocoa.

Good Morning AFN Stoners....:yay1:..Happy Monday...not long until Friday..:headbang:

Have a read..

"A six foot five man suffering from drug abuse and\or mental health issues was being very aggressive on the bus with erratic movements, cursing, shouting, etc.

"While everyone was scared, this one seventy year old woman reached out her hand, tightly gripping his hand until he calmed down, sat down silently, with eventual tears in his eyes.

"I spoke to the woman after this incident and she simply said, 'I'm a mother and he needed someone to touch.' And she started to cry."

He added: "Don't fear or judge the stranger on the bus: life does not provide equal welfare for all its residents."

I'm a mother and he needed someone to touch....:d5:..Humanity.

The World needs more humanity.

We would flood the back yard for a practice rink. When we weren't at war with snowballs, we used pucks. We could skate to the end of the street to a swamp where neighborhood parents manicured it to a rink complete with nets. Hockey was big. I don't remember which hurt more. The lifted puck I once took to the forehead, Or the frozen reserve snowball that got me in the same spot.:dizzy: Both rang my bell. We had rules for the supplies that sat and froze. They were only to be used against invaders from another neighborhood but mistakes happened in the heat of battle.

Its 4:20 time for some Cheesus Dragon.

G'd morning Mossy, stoners, There is plenty of humanity from lots of good people.
They just aren't looking for pats on the back all the time and the media finds them booring.
They don't have publicists to shout "Good Deeds Over Here tomorrow".
It may seem like they all have been bullied to the background while

"Killers in high places say their prayers out loud" (L.Cohen)

But the background is where most things get done.
