I would love to see your epoxy work, sounds like it is gorgeous too. And yes, I found an old battleaxe that I had to mess with awhile to get working right. Skutt model 181 from 1983 but she works well enough for now. Full manual so I have to be on my toes when she shuts off after a glaze fire to jam the kiln sitter so it stays on for a slow cool, gets those lovely effects you see with the crystals etc.

i bet you learn more from working with that oven than if you had got a fancy dancy model,,
:chef: the epoxy is still at experimenting stage,,its become a hard rd for what seemed so simple,,lol,,for example ,my first attemt,i filled an inlay on a tray i was experimenting on,,came back was all gone ,,soaked into wood,,, so first lesson was prime any cut out and think about the wood i used ,,second was bubbles, third was,,lol you get my drift.

Sounds like ALL my adventures with new things :haha:, I have found YouTube videos to be great for learning new things too.

I'm pretty happy that I am learning so much using an old manual kiln vs a programmable one, plus when I can afford one I will appreciate it and understand how it all works. And it didn't break the bank :smoking:

Oh jeez I forgot to unlock the Elf on the Shelf last night so no one could vote. I just found it and fixed it.
