I use R/O, but tap is real good like around 100ppm's. Do you use their recommended dosages? Do you just use the 321, or do you add other stuff? I would love a dry line that works without needing to tweek it if possible. Just seems to be easier, and stores better. I feel I shouldn't need to make adjustments from its schedule. I want something that doesn't take a day to get mixed. At 15 minutes between nutrients making AN takes forever. I have a ton of that stuff, but bottles are getting low and are very old. Do you need to add silica?

Their full strength mix is
Part A: 3.79g
Epsom: 0.99g
Part B: 2.52g

I don't run full strength, I started with autos at 80% strength, which funnily enough is actually the 3/2/1 formula: 3gA, 2gB, 1gEpsom. It works pretty well. I mix 4 gallons at a time so the nutrient amounts guarantee a proper blend of the powder components. A trick I learned from MoG mixing his megacrop. You can up/down the strength by either reducing the amounts in % ratio or just multiply by one less. Example: 3/2/1 x 4 for the 4 gallons and its 12/8/4g each OR just do x3 and use 9/6/3 into 4 gallons. I do bump the Epsom a touch higher for coco. Usually 1.3g/gal insted of just the 1g/gal.

The only thing I add is a liquid silica. I use that as a pH buffer in RO. The Jacks line tends to be pretty acidic. Mixing up just the plain nutrients and the pH ends up around 5.5-ish or lower. It took a bit of test and tune but I can pretty much hit my target pH by adjusting the amount of silica. It holds very very stable for several days, both pH and strength. I bought their full kit, even though I know it was probably far overpriced, especially for epsom salt. Ah the price of convenience!

This one:

I do use the clone/seedling product when starting new seeds. I also use the bloom booster during the transition period to flowering. Then it just switches back to the normal 80% strength until the end. I did use the finish on my last photperiod plant and it worked quite well.

There are several far better growers than I using the line. I have only used it in coco so far. Quite easy to simply flush if I see a mistake developing and I am far from good enough to decipher nutrient issues.

You do need to mix in the correct order: A/Epsom/B, or it will get cloudy. Plenty of videos and help/guides on their website as well. I like to mix mine and let it sit for ~20min just to make sure the pH and ppm settle and are where I want them. The powder can take a little stirring to dissolve fully but it does quite easily. Ok that's probably enough of a book eh?

Other growers I can think of who use Jacks:

@Cave Dirt Cody , @Cerebral Goo , and surprise! @Son of Hobbes said it worked very well in a commercial grow.

EDIT: The Twenty20 SparkleFace photo grow in my signature was a full Jacks run. Turned out beautifully. Not a crispy/yellowed/malformed leaf on the whole thing.

Well the stuff I get off the streets in Wi....idk man maybe once a month I get a sack thats comparable to the 25%-30% range of the dispensaries. But most of the time I'll smoke the same quantity twice as fast which is why I prefer the risk
Speaking of thc%, i grew out seedsman purple kush cbd 1:1 its suppose to be like 8% on both and me and my family agree it hits as hard as my 25%+ strains if not harder.

So is the thc cbd %'s that big of a game changer or is it the terps and stuff?

No clue, I have 0 experience with cbd other than Ive read cannabinoids interact with the body more effectively when certain ones are at certain levels, like cbd makes it easier to absorb thc or the reverse. I cant remember. I read that article years ago. That might be why it just hit faster, or maybe it just produced more thc than it advertised. Id suppose thats possible

Im going to be popping that purple kush 1:1 here in a 2 months if all goes well. And i have grown high cbd medium thc from a non reputable place and was the best of the three strains i bought. Got me ripped and the dry mouth was insane. I havent got that since. To me in away thats part of the experience. The strain was aliens on moonshine. by pacific seed bank. Got it before I really know whats up. Lol. But The name sold me. The weed did not disappoint.

Does that really matter for me when I don’t have a gauge? Not the first time you’ve said something to me about material pressure…any info would be much appreciated

:yeahthat::rofl::rofl::rofl::smoking:
My Mini doesn't have a gage, but it's designed to exert a certain amount of pressure...period. It's designed for a certain size of material to press. The larger the size of the material, the lower the effective material pressure.
I do bottle tech with the small NS bags. That keeps the material size within the design specs to give the proper effective material pressure. When I press hash, I fold the bag to be within those design specs.
