Weird munchies is what happens when I'm woken up early in the morning and do the wakey bakey!
This morning's weird concoction is some boiled Johnsonville brots, minced up in some tiny field peas cooked Southern style. I love Field peas, but I hate shelling them! These canned peas are about the closest that I found to my own fresh peas when I grew them.
After boiling the sausages I take the Sausages out and drain all but three quarters of a cup of the water. I just open up the can of peas and dump them in my saucepan. Splash a little bit of olive oil in there. Sprinkle a little bit of black pepper and granulated garlic. Go ahead and dice up the sauces very well and add to the peas and let simmer.
I wish I had some of those caramelized onions someone was talking about earlier! I would set this off perfectly!
