Auto insurance in my province is a monopoly and legislation no longer allows suing for pain, injury, lost wages.

The good news is they provide medical treatment and you don't need a lawyer to fight for a bandaid. In my case it is physiotherapy.

BUT the adjuster is now trying to tell me that the pain from my ribs/sternum is the same as the pleurisy which is several layers deeper and a few inches to the right. It is caused by calcium crystals near my lung. My doctor already has x-rays of both and it's clear that they are different injuries that happened several years apart.

I was already waiting for an MRI for my left hip when the crash happened. After the accident the hip got much worse. The physio and I agree that the tendon injury happened at the accident. (That part never bothered me before and my hip didn't buckle before)

Now the adjuster is trying to tell me that the new hip injury was pre-existing.

INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE IN
THE BUSINESS OF NOT PAYING

So they have taken the right to use legal force away. It also means you can't fight for treatment if THEY decide that it's not related.

Time to go. Mom is 90 minutes away by busses and train and it is PISSING OUT.

Weather warning: Total rainfall amounts near 75 to 120 mm over the next 24 hours.

So I guess I can skip the shower this morning. I am going to get soaked just waiting for the first bus.
