Memory I forgot. I had a childhood friend that moved to Queens. His mom worked at a Puerto Rican diner after they moved there. Used to stop in to see his mom and get a porkchop sandwich whenever we went up to pick up weed. Best sandwich ever. This was back when you could smoke indoors anywhere 
Actually the waxes and incomplete vapor stays behind in the banger and gets cleaned out. The reclaim is the vapor that condenses before it leaves the water piece. It has almost no taste. this isn't like the resin that you clean out of a bong. Having been heated and condensed it is already decarbed. The terpenes are pretty much depleted so there isn't much taste at all. The water piece stays way cleaner with reclaim catcher and you don't need to clean your water piece nearly as often. Reclaim is a nice dark tan color.A lot of it is just the waxes and other stuff that does not vaporize as easily as the stuff we are after. More stoner theory perhaps.
Thanks for the clarification, I thought that reclaim was the leftover in the banger, not the condensed stuff on my glass vape parts. Your comment is interesting, it means that the stuff that ends up in the alcohol when I soak my glass may be quite useful, and not nasty like the stuff left in my rosin vape chamber. I may explore that.
