Hey bud, it's been awhile how you doing?
Not much man. Good to see ya back on.
I have grown several 1:1 THC/CBD girls. I really think that most of them had more THC than CBD.Definitely add the CBD…it’s a game changer for sure.
Way back in the day, we used to do some minor extractions… our process was soak material in water for a day or two and then strain and squeeze. Spread out til it is mostly dry then alcohol for a few days strain off green material and squeeze all alcohol out you can. Crock pot set on low, uncovered. When moisture is gone completely, scrape out product with razor and store or use. The water soak was to remove chlorophyll but I have seen pinks in the water from old time skunk one. I assume that was coloring from the plant. Wasn’t chlorophyll… the old time skunk one had a lot of pinks in the pistils and water “washed” this color out. This probably doesn’t help at all though…I have grown several 1:1 THC/CBD girls. I really think that most of them had more THC than CBD.
Most of them I have done a dry ice shake and made live Rosin. Since I shake for quality, there is still quite a bit of Medicine left in the material, so I dry it decarb it and then infuse it over several cycles. That has been pretty effective but it definitely has a very strong taste. And that's what I'm going to add in a test to this last all that I made with dried flower. That is don't know if there's going to be enough CBD in the final mixture for it to be effective in the fashion that I want.
Sweet CBD will be dried in the the CannaTrol and then ran thru the ArdentFX. I can use it alone or add it to the other THC oil. It has claims of 15% CBD with a small percentage of THC.
I can definitely tell when I don't have enough CBD in the bloodstream or more accurately I can tell when the reduction of inflammation lessens. While testing this last match of oil the only other source of CBD is from Vaping Dutch Passion CBD Skunk Haze live rosin. I can tell that over all inflammation has increased.
With as easy and short as the CannaTrol makes drying flower, I think for the most part, all my medicinals will be dried and ran through the Ardent FX to make oil. That could change to a tincture in the future.
I think that with my injuries, relieving inflammation is the most effective way of controlling pain, joint, muscle and nerve. I just need to get regimented and take it just like 'regular normal' medicine at set times to maintain a reduction in inflammation.
Twenty20 Vidamints Is a reportedly 1:1 THC/CBD. I do think she has more THC than CBD. I highly recommend this strain! Vaping the live Rosin can definitely fade you. Really easy to grow, pretty productive, very frosty and she has one other aspect that could be exploited further. With the amount of purpling she has, especially with UVA exposure, she must produce quite a large amount of Anthocyanins. The one thing I don't know if the Anthocyanins will transfer over doing dry ice Shake and be present in the Rosin. Or do I need to do either an alcohol extraction or an old infusion to extract the Anthocyanins. Can any @Cultivators shed a little insight on to this?
So, first water, strain and squeeze keeping plant material. Second is alcohol after drying, keeping liquid and tossing plant material. After squeezing of course… then slow cooker til solids collect on bottom. All moisture gone? Scrape up and collect.Way back in the day, we used to do some minor extractions… our process was soak material in water for a day or two and then strain and squeeze.
