so i had to ask and make sure it was ok and i pulled all the way in so i could be standing on the soft snow vs solid ice! I shoulda known when i went to stop at her house and slid probably 20’ past her driveway cuz her street was so icy!

That is why they stop you clearing your paths in the UK... ..the snow is less dangerous to walk on than the black ice underneath it.

Old UK trick for the black ice is to pull an old pair of socks on...over your shoes....gives you much better traction.....
