I tend to set a hand basket down into my cart when i shop for instacart stoned….just in case something jumps out and is looking like i need it for myself!

@Saltysparrows has been doing instacart here, and she is virtually the ONLY PERSON in the entire town that does the shopping for it here. So we'll put in an order, and it'll sit, and sit, and sit, and the longer it sits, the more they raise the price of what they will pay the shopper to go and do it. Then she grabs our OWN order through instacart, shops it, and we get paid for shopping our own groceries lmao!

And we found out Family Dollar has instacart, so now we're getting toilet paper, detergent, etc, and it's nearly 100% paid for, plus getting paid potentially on top of it the difference in the cost vs payout from instacart.

I have had my mom do that and place her order and i have been able to snag them a few times! Sometimes tho if its a small order it doesn’t get dispatched right away cuz they wait and group it with another order! And she orders online thru Kroger app for immediate delivery and those actually get dispatched to instacart to shop the order vs a store employee! It blows that my T mobile service sucks so bad that even with diamond cart status where u see the orders first so often an order pops up and i tap on it to open it and see whats in it and where its going and it disappears before i can see anything cuz someone else has already seen it and accepted it! Few times my mom has purposely put a shitty tip on it to scare other drivers away but even that doesn’t always guarantee i will get the order! Even with no tip it usually breaks out to like $14 for driving the order to my mom from the store she uses!

I did Instacart as a side gig a few years ago to fund my daughter a car and hadn’t been a shopper in about 3 years. When I put in my first order here, not only did it not get picked up, but the payment had gone up to $45. I quickly realized that there aren’t any shoppers in this little town. So, I still had my IC debit card and account. So NOW, I put in a $10ish dollar order at different stores throughout my work days and shop 1 on my first break, 2 on my lunch break, one on my last break, and one on my way home from work. I get paid at least $30 a shop. So, free groceries and a lil extra jack, and a few extra steps in my day. I’m gonna ride this train as long as it’s running.
