I heard you and KR talking about those really expensive DP beans. What's up with those? Supply demand?

Apart from the vets.... :pass: ...the Princess is having problems with her back legs.

She's not crying or anything but she restless...and we were worried she was in pain so we wanted her checked out...and get a couple of painkillers...see if it makes a difference.

Vet checked her out and agreed she was in pain..so have this pain killer...it lasts for a week..come back next week and let me know if it makes a difference...if it does I'll give you A Tablet that lasts a month...for 80 euros a month.....

But if she needs a stronger dose..it is an injection...over 100 euros a month......:pass:.. frikkin hell...I'm thinking dog compatible ibuprofen type thing... wasn't expecting it to be that much.......

Also thinking....if they can do that for a dog with arthritis type pain...like knock the pain out for a month.....how come they can't do the same for humans.......?.......:pass:

I'm glad to see some real lab tests and research finally being done.
You and me both. Dr. Bugbee has been huge in sorting some of this stuff out, especially the issues surrounding light. It does turn out that cannabis is if not unique at least remarkable in how much light it can use effectively. It continues to produce more in response to increasing light levels to far higher PPFD/DLI than most crop plants according to Bugbee. But from us growers' points of view, the main issue is how much, not what color. The first thing to get done IMO is to make sure that you provide at least something like 500 mmols/m2/second, ideally from further away from the plants if space and power permit.

Distance to the grow light matters. Light intensity can be adjusted to 500 at the canopy top either by a weaker light closer, or a stronger one further away, but importantly the two are not equivalent. Light from further away delivers more light deeper into the canopy. For illustration, in open air, if PAR at the canopy top is 500, light levels one foot below the canopy top would be ~125 if the grow light was one foot above the canopy top but ~280 if the light was three feet away (2x distance = 1/4 the light) That is more than twice the light intensity delivered one foot lower in canopy with exactly the same intensity at the canopy top. Reflective walls of a tent reduce this decline somewhat, but the principle applies. Considering that the bulk of leaves are not at the tippy top of the canopy, this can translate into a pretty big deal, IMO.

Bottom line, stronger lights further away are a better idea if finances, space, and heat control permit. Training plants to be flatter and less deep also helps - the deeper the canopy, the larger the decline in light level below the canopy top, and the less total light available to the whole plant.

We've been using an online vet/pharmacy for the dogs pain and allergy pills for a while now. Much cheaper then going to the vet. They do a video chat and will write a prescription for anything. You can get 3 months of meds per chat. And you can cancel immediately and sign back up when you need more. The one we use is called Dutch. Don't know if they're intentional but there might be a similar thing for you :pass:

Dogs don't complain about side effects
