The seed moving meme looks somewhat squid like.

I did the megacrop 1 part for a while. I always had sediment in my tank. I asked them about it and they said it was from the kelp but I feel like that could totally mess up your carrots... But i also don't really see anybody else complain about that problem so maybe it's just me or the bag I got
I noticed some light colored sediment in the single version, early to mid 2020 version. I was top watering by hand so it wasn't a problem. I used pop's 550 total ppm at every watering method in my very first grow. I think it worked very well with a few organic tricks.
I imagine the results would be much better now and I'd do it again in 'soil'.

You can play around with this spread sheet to get different N-P-K ratios with the various inputs I use. Just keep everything in the balance ranges.

You need to mix in the silica first and stir it with a pump or air stone for at least 30 minutes before adding anything else. If there is any carbonates in the water it will get a little cloudy but should not be an issue if your starting PPM is not too high.
You need to stop being so dammed informative!:grrr2:

I probably won't ever grow again without organics, but I still find it fascinating and I try to file it away in muh data bank! :face:

I only add it when I see the first trichome, and at 1/4 - 1/2 the dose.

I know it's a different method of introducing silica and won't work with your style, but it's for the same reason.
With the upcoming grow, I incorporated in the media and will topdress with MontanaGrow Silica Amendment. It's 76% amorphous silicon Volcanic Tuff. It should help with all the attributes associated with silica. Since I added that, I went back to adding HumiChar. 50/50 mix of humic acid and biochar. It will be interesting to see if the volcanic tuft will help with Carbon Sequestration with the readily available carbon the Humichar will offer.

I added the Montanagrow silica into my current grow at 4lbs per 20 gallons of soil. The soil is a tad denser, heavier, but the plants do not seem to mind, they are doing great.

@Mossy that's an orgy!!!!lol I think the most I got is 5 in one 5 gal....I had 10 or more but plucked them down to 4 to 5 to 5gal...and my seeds are feminized....waisting seeds.....I see cause yours are real....so what evers female you keep....? Say 15 you'd run that many to a pot..? Most I had in one is 7....there's 30 something plants in this 5x5.....7 in the front right....then evey other pot is 1 to 5.....it's my last grow...

Hope everyone is having a great weedend! :eyebrows: :pass::smokeout::pass:
Does anyone have any experience with this medium? View attachment 1568785 I'm thinking you use it more like coco loco as far as treating it like a soil grow. It's a lot cheaper than other coco/perlite mixes. Plus, I can;t find any Coco Pearl, or Cultivation Nation in my area. I do have a bag left of CN and I'm thinking about not only using this in my vegetable garden, but also mix it with some CN and use in my indoor garden! All input is appreciated! :peace::pass:

Don't use it indoors. We use another bag of that brand soil and it always has loads of fungus gnats in it. It is decent and cheap. Great for outdoors but I would not use it inside again. We have several house plants in it and man, BTI with yellow stickies for weeks.
