I think I am screwing up something in mixing my nutes which is causing my issue seems when I add silica my mix gets cloudy which is not good.. so I mixed up the same solution without silica and it's crystal clear:yoinks::wall: Then got to thinking that my girls were doing better before adding silica.. I am going to remove it from the mix for the girls I am prepping now and see how it goes.. also got me thinking that before I switched to straight RO they were doing better so I am starting to you use some tap water to buffer the RO water <100ppm hoping thing are going to go much better but we shall see:goodluck:
Mine is cloudy and foamy during and after mixing with silica in it. But it's totally clear like 2 or 3 mins after mixing when sitting in the tank

I did the megacrop 1 part for a while. I always had sediment in my tank. I asked them about it and they said it was from the kelp but I feel like that could totally mess up your carrots... But i also don't really see anybody else complain about that problem so maybe it's just me or the bag I got :shrug:
Did u heat up a glass worth of water to help dissolve the stuff easier? Thought I remembered @Mañ'O'Green or someone suggesting that method! He uses a reservoir and drip irrigation without issue! The carrots themselves dont have water go thru them they just open and close to let water flow or pinch the drip line closed when they shut off! It is small drip line going to the carrots at 3mm and not sure what size lines he runs!

Yeah i waited over night before adding anything else either still same thing noticeably different without silica... Still going to play around with it and see if i can get it clear..

So next round i am planning on using megacrop in the reservoir since i can get the 1 part for free sample to try! Should i get that or just buy the 2 part? Also anything else i need to go with it? Already have epsom and soluble gypsum! Didn’t know if i needed bud explosion or something to go with it?
:thanks::pass:

You can play around with this spread sheet to get different N-P-K ratios with the various inputs I use. Just keep everything in the balance ranges.

You need to mix in the silica first and stir it with a pump or air stone for at least 30 minutes before adding anything else. If there is any carbonates in the water it will get a little cloudy but should not be an issue if your starting PPM is not too high.

Tried everything from heat to strainers to blenders. Megacrop and autopot issues are what actually got me to make an account here :crying: But I rarely see anybody else around with sediment issues with it but me. Pretty sure @Mañ'O'Green has an extra sediment filter on his setup

If the other 4 inputs i have aren’t expired i may just replace the 2 glb products that expired on me and use that! Pretty sure guy sent me feed rates for doing once a week top watering and also rates for using in a reservoir!

I always use a pump and have started using both pump and air stone ALWAYS ADD IT FIRST and wait a miniunm of a hr just to be safe... Most time I try to do it overnight is better?

Yup not high right at 95 ppm don't think that's too much?
