@Jpkindbud I know you wanted to see comparison this is what I found :goodluck::d5:

Well stoners got a new toy today paranoia ended up getting the best of me and I bought a par meter.. Picked a Photobio 165$ because of all the good reports I had heard here and so glad I did this is super nice tool for the garden comes with a nice case and two cords for the sensor.. Comes already to go just put the batteries (included) in and went to work:headbang:

The sensor has a threaded insert right in the back made for tripod or selfie stick which I had and that made it really easy to check the tents especially the bigger tent :cooldance::vibe:

This right at canopy level with the par meter

This is same spot with photone app UNcalibraated with Iphone 14 pro max reading higher then the photobio

This is just above canopy 8-10"

Same there about 100+ higher on the photone app which I guess is a good thing at least I know I was stressing the girls with light but doesn't explain why my girls are short

The 3x3 Girls are looking good have been transitioning there feed over to flower nutes good time looks like some clawing going on.. I ended up turning up the light little bit running 500 at the canopy and 700 just above :headbang::pop:

Your new light meter talk finally got me thinking, I should check mine. Sure enough, only running at 500-600 ppfd at the tops. Bumped that up to 900-1000. I also raised the shorty up a bit to even out the light. Toys are only good if you use them.

Damn! Mine didn't come with a nice case!:gassy:
It's a very valuable tool!
A good instance: You have a run away girl and she's getting into the light. Take your meter and check your lower bud sites and measure. This can give you an idea of what level you need to supercrop the run away branches. If she's the only one in the tent, you can now readjust your light, tuning up the dimmer or lower the light, and set the desired light levels. That optimal level will now be on more buds sites.. In a tent with other girls, You manipulate plant height to gain an even canopy.
It is needed even more with a powerful light. My HLG was never fully turned up! And such an even par map and light penetration is great! I do like the less blue light than the Mars.

edit...... Cerebral Goo
Stop thinkin! Act!

Mine didn't come with the nifty case either!

I also use mine several times a week just as you do, to keep the tops in the sweet spot as far as the DLI goes.

I like my light setup as I can add blue for seedling/veg and change to less blue and more red for late veg/flowering. It seems to work well for me, or in spite of me? LOL

Break time......wife n dogs done hours ago, been weeding some, relocating pavers now I'm digging up my shampoo ginger root harvest. Little fvckers got big. Will probably have 3 to 4 times the rhizomes I started with last summer of the ones my DIL gave me. Still gotta dig up the ones that Dad had in another spot that have been in the ground for 4 years......
