I would think shelf life dictates how far they ship the pastries. Cookies and donuts can probably go further.

Out here in east bum fvck rural NY even the local grocery store has a huge rack of Entenmans, a dozen or more different pastries !

Ya ours are little debbie with some Mrs Bairds! Mrs Bairds used to have some bomb ass iced cinnamon rolls but stopped making them a ways back!

Apple Fritters are my poison of choice, heated and with a fresh cup of coffee, nothing better!

We've got some Amish/Mennonite spots around here that sell fresh and hot apple fritters. I'll grab one with a coffee or hot chocolate anytime I can
