We're just fine with being home and isolated for the most part. But now part of our "pod" is missing. Our neighbors /best pals who we would be isolating with had to head to Seattle. It was tough to see them go. She has cancer and it sounds like they will be out for quite a while getting it worked on. So our cabin fever resistance is being tested. No problem with that so far

my folks are in a city an hour away so can't see them either.

Our two mothers are in the UK...it makes you feel useless...but both are shielding...so even if we were there..we couldn't visit.

Hubbys poor mother was Born during the Spanish Flu plague...lets hope this one doesn't get her.
She'll be 103 come April.

Yeah, me also wants to see/meet more friends, but i had to much of them, also my family, being sick of the virus, also in hospital with oxygen to breath and that's no joke. From what i can see there is a big difference from the ones who haven't had any friends or family parts sick of it, not believing what is happening out there, thinking they get pranked by government, but as soon they have someone being real sick from in their closer they panick, because they have seen the illness, so sad!

A large part of my mom’s family had it. Thankfully they didn’t have anything that put them into a “high risk” category, Other than age, and even then, The only symptoms they had was a headache, lack of taste and smell, and slight fever.

Hubby and me decided recently that when we die...we want no service..no flowers...jump straight to the Wake...
If he dies I have to drop a couple hundred euros behind our local bar so all his friends can have a Drink on him....
I said if I die first....leave some money behind the cafe on the beach so all my friends can have a brandy with their coffee....
he said...that will be cheap...you haven't got any friends......

We are happy as clams being alone, my wife as much so...she has her art Actually she would like to be with our friend but it's not the right time for that of course.

Good to hear that's all that happened, I have heard of the lack of taste and smell, so weird isn't it...

Really Weird. We have lost taste and smell about 3 times in the last few months.
First two times we Lost hunger too....no smell...no appetite......couldn't smell me Jasmine....I was gutted.

This time it got to me drink..........got a voddy coke and nearly choked....it tasted like dirty drain water...

Totally Lost the Want to have a drink...completely.....I Enjoyed having a voddy coke watching me favourite programs on a night....
Gone....no desire.....I can't smell dinner cooking either...I have t keep checking the cooker is On...coz I can't Smell it....


On the good side...it is the first time Ever I have started Dry January on Time........every Cloud huh....?

No stoner's that I know got sick but a shit load downstate including family. My wife and I am healthy but could not bring myself to go down to visit. They all got over it fine but I will try to keep the 300 mile buffer until the "coast is clear" and healthy. I have not been tested still to paranoid to even expose to that

I just learned yesterday that my next-door neighbor has it. He's young 30's with a wife and 2 kids who are so far negative even though he is quarantined at home. Surprisingly, none of us are freaking about it. Goes to show that we can get used to anything.
