I used to be a dancing fool! I guess I got it from my Mom and Dad. I'd go to the babysitter or Grandma and they's go to the
dance hall.......there's something that doesn't exist anymore.
I learned the "traditional" dances and went to all the school dances................another thing gone by the wayside. I found out at a young age, girls like guys that dance.
When I was stationed at Orlando, Fla, there was a 7 month wait for the school. They assigned me to work in the galley in maintenance for both school side and bootcamp side. At the time, this was the only place the Navy had boot for women.
I'd have to work at the boot galley and when I'd see a cute girl, I'd mention I'd be at the Enlisted Club when they got their graduation liberty. I'd tell this to one and naturally it would spread..........girls talk as you well know.
I found it quite funny to see the "buzzards" standing around with beers in hand in groups, while after my few dances, I had girls coming over to
my table to ask me to dance.
Ahhhh yes! Those were the days!
