Good day my fellow green thumbs,
Plz Heeeeeeellllllp!!!! I'm a bit perplexed at this moment with how things have gone over the last week. I'm hoping it's not to late to save my last standing plant. Please someone shed some light and tell me that I'm not to late! Bottom line is, my plant is showing signs of either one or all: distress, nute lockout, nute burn, root rot, not enough humidity, etc... I don't know what to think or what to do next. I flushed the plant with Clearex last night. Again, these problems started being noticed I believe on Wednesday (4 Jan). The 1st thing noticed was leaves curling up (like a taco) and some dryness on the serrated points of the leaves. I had been dealing with humidity issues and a little on the high heat side (between 79 and 82). I, however would look over my plant numerous times a day, spraying down with R.O. water at least 3 - 4 times a day. I also raised my lights to 12" (had them between 8 and 10").
After re-potting (3 Jan), I didn't add anything to the soil (being that the soil was already watered down with R.O. and nutes). On 5 Jan, soil was drying out so I added nutes, but I believe I got a false reading from my soil pH level (almost an 8) and had pH'd my nutes down to 5.4. After this, I noticed it perked up for a good part of the day. The new leaves developing were looking healthy. Between later that day and the 6th, those leaves begin to curl up and the serrated tips started to turn yellow-brown (early burn look). Doesn't seem as if it's progressing at this moment. I added a humidifier to my grow tent last night to kick up the humidity. It added another 2 degrees to the tent so the temp is now about 84. Humidity has rose to between 40 and 43. I ordered a cool mist humidifier that should be in today.
CORRECTION:
Actually, the soil was watered with R.O. Water, Liquid Seaweed, 2 tsp molasses, and light nutes (1/8 tsp starter nutes) pH'd to 6.3. Btw... What is the best soil meter to use? I bought a 3 in 1 soil meter, but this is the one that gave me a faulty reading on my soil. After rinsing with the Clearex, the run-off read a pH of 4.65. The soil reader kept teling me that my soil was about an 8.
Please tell me it's not to late and she can be saved. She is only 20 days old from 1st full sprout. I put in a lot of work for these 20 days... :-( Thanks!
