Indoor Lil Dab's Earthboxes and Organics

What's an "IMPE"?

I assumed your SIPs were like GroBuckets, just a different shape and small difference in capacity depending on which one. I would have bet a lot of money I could do what I do in 5 gallon buckets, just slightly bigger if need be due to size, in EBs. Am I missing something? :smokeout:

In My Personal Experience

Umm I'm sure you can but these are also full organic just topdressing and teas top feed. With earth boxes jr's there's a little bit more soil and if you use regular it's even more soil. It all comes down to plant size some girls just aren't meant for jr's. I just did something smilier with wicking ropes and 5 gallon grow bag just not in a bucket and did the same thing only bottom water plain water and beneficial humid kelp etc

I don't know much about sips but most people feed nutrients no? and you can do the same with EB's. That's style is just not in my realm if I'm growing in soil it's Organic TLS If I want to feed I use coco :thumbsup::pass:

I think most people feed or amend everything...I don't, and never have which is why I may ask weird questions sometimes.

I figured out growing, piecemeal on my own, mainly reading old posts...went from growing autos in just organic bag soil seed-to-harvest in reuused ~3.5g planters, then to fabric, and then to SIPs that hold maybe ~4g of decent organic bag soil (and aerating the ~1g reservoirs from day 1).

I assumed EBs could just be bigger versions of what I'm doing...sorry for derailing your thread :toke:

How are you going to learn without asking questions?

Nope your fine I believe they are very similar just never have seen anyone using airstones in earth boxes maybe I am missing something. :toke: :d5:

 ...Much more slowly, painfully, and with a lot of trial and error :help: but I also try and find answers first since I know there is a lot of historical knowledge documented on here :vibe:

That's why I was curious, but I've also only ever seen one other grower with SIPs like mine using them, but my results have been outstanding and I've never come across a simpler, easier way to grow autos from seed (outside of commercial)...I also don't feel like I am knowledgeable enough to recognize something you're missing when it comes to this since you've been growing and engaged in the community much longer than I have so I feel like you folks have seen and heard more :smokeout:
