Ok, I got 2 auto cobs 55 watts i think from the wall. Help a brother out. This I would like to know.

Wouldn't a watts per sq ft be more valuable ?, the number of plants is inconsequential
Mathematically it will be the same; for example 350 watts divided by 24sq feet (size of my space) = 14.58 per sqft. and each plant is using 4 sqft * 14.58 = 58.32. So the information will be close enough. The thing is this will have nothing to do with the efficiency of the light. That information is beyond the scope of what we are doing here. Lets just keep it as simple as possible.

yes, some autocobs are ~55 watts * 2 = 110/#of plants under those lights = the number I am looking for. Does that help?

Well I just found out I got 1 55 watt and 1 65 watt and I have 4 plants under them

For a lot of you this will be a no brainer but others will not have a clue and could care less. That is ok. What I want to know is your best calculation of how many actual "at the wall" WATTs per plant of energy you use to drive just your lights in Veg. Here is an example from my grow space:
White Cobs 250
Blue Cobs 100
Total 350 divided by 6 plants = 58.33 rounded to 58

So for me the answer is 58 watts.

I will be more than happy to help any of you to calculate this just post the question in our running PM and we will come up with a number.
If you are not interested in contributing this information just post IDK.

A lot of new growers will really benefit from this data.

Thank you.

@Mañ'O'Green Week 4 Update
xxx Watts
Picture:

I know you can grow pal ,, so I just interested,,, do you run this spectrum for any reason, like less stetch, more stretch,,, just the right stretch for the number plants you running in that space ?
Will you be altering spectrums throughout the grow ?

Are you planning on adding wattage and altering spectrum :coffee:

Yes, the Citizen 1212 3500K cri90 cobs I am running are a little short on the blue spectrum so I added a couple of Royal Blue cobs that I run in veg. They are a bit too much but that is ok. I have some 720nm leds (far red) that I use to stretch and send into flower but I am afraid the Bubba Troubles would get too tall if I use them and autos don't need the boost like Photoperiod plants. So I will not be using them in this grow. After flower starts I will turn off the Blue cobs and turn on the (2 ~ 50 watts each)AgroMax t5 48" UVA plus 10,000K bulbs that will run the rest of the grow. I will also add more wattage on the Citizens. My final wattage will be about 650 for the room or ~160 watts per plant.

@Mañ'O'Green Week 3 update temps 78* 55-60% humidity. This is hubbubbahaze the only original drop that isn’t being replaced with new seedlings so here is my final choice for battle plant.
