Hey everyone, I’m looking for a little help to see what the issue with this girl is. She was pretty happy up until a couple nights ago. Now it seems that her newer growth is yellowing, while the bottom is staying pretty green and the stems of the leaves are reddish purple. The top leaves aren’t crispy or dry by any means nor burnt at the tips. She’s a Mephisto Northern cheese, 4 weeks old in FFOF. I gave her her first light feeding today of 550ppm, which was Fox Farm Big Bloom and Grow Big today Hoping she might make an improvement by tomorrow or the coming week. I’m currently running an autopot setup under 480 watt lights running at 100% from 32 inches away. Any thoughts from someone a little more knowledgeable than myself? Thanks in advanced!

Unless the lights just came on or something, ide say it looks over watered a bit and maybe some sort of lockout. never used autopots so im not much help..
@Mañ'O'Green might have an idea

whats your water source? if the ffof wasnt aged properly before u bought it , you would had issues from the start and a 4 week old plant in early flower with no feedings in ffof should be showing slight deficiencies on the leaves but not the way this plant is, at least ive not seen it and i grow in ffof. so something is out of wack.

I thought it was too early for too look this way as well. I am running tap water that comes about a bit hard, around 180ppm, definitely a lot of calcium. My ph ranges between 6.3 and 6.8 in my res and never dips above or below that. My environment has been pretty stable between 75-76 during the day and around 68 at lights off. My humidity hoveres around 45 percent

OF has caused some problems for some folks. I use HF and 4 to 5 weeks is about right for it to be spent. Running 3 autopots in a 2x4 with 3 x ts1000 at about 8 inches from the tops. I have a 4 filter RO setup under the sink for water as I'm on a deep well in limestone country. New growth on mine always looks lighter green than the older growth and I didn't really notice more than that in your pic. If you could shoot a couple closer pics of the problem spots might help in any diagnosis.

For sure, thanks for your input! The color on the top leaves does look to be a little greener since i fed her early this morning now that i gave it a second look, and the it seems she drank a lot today. I’m more still concered about the drooping leaves the fact that they look like maybe trying to shade themselves? I pulled my light up to about 36 inches and turned it down to 80 percent.

Drooping at lights on, middle of light cycle or at the end of light cycle? Mine usually get "tired" near the end and droop. Seeing as your on autopot I doubt she's lacking liquid unless you have an autovalve screwing up. I pop the top above the valves once a day to check. Have mistimed it and went to check res and seen the top of their filter once

They‘ve been drooping all day for a couple consecutive days now. But they definitely droop more closer to lights out. I don’t believe so either. I’m using the easy2grow system right now, for what its worth, but i also have the four pot system. I emptied my pots this morning and refilled to make sure both my valves were working correctly and they both we doing just fine. I check my aqua valves daily as well too see what they’ve had to drink and i actually tape it down in place so it doesn’t move because I’ve definitely had my fair share of surprise floods

@DaleDenton :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:If your environment is ok 78°F day 68°F night with >40% <60% RH then I think you have the beginning of a root problem. FFOF is not designed to be bottom watered and will remain much too wet on the bottom of the pot. This will encourage the growth of anaerobic microbes that kill roots. Get your nose close to the bottom of the pot does it smell sweet or sour. If sour stop bottom watering, get Botinicare HydroGuard and treat the pot ASAP. While you are at it you should get the Tiger Bloom and use it as well.
