Light question

Outmoded 270 watt blurple.
Probably need 35 watts per sq ft with that light, making it ok for about 8 sq ft.
A good LED will cost a bit less than $1 per true watt, and won't have that blurple look.

Do you think two of those in a two and a half by five grow tent is Too much
It should work fine. But unless you already own the lights, blurple is not the best choice any more. They will grow weed for sure, but there are more effective options these days.

Good luck with it. :pighug:

Have you already purchased these lights? Or are you looking for suggestions and alternatives?

Buy the best you can afford and get your money's worth out of it. Always my advice when it comes to buying anything. :smoking:
Good luck with your growing.

If you've already got em, run em! See how it turns out.

It seems around here people really like the marshydro lights for a decent yet budget minded option. The ts600 and ts1000 being very popular.

Depends on what you're willing to spend/features you may desire. Your space l x w x h will give a general determination of how much wattage you need but different efficacies will affect the number.

Alibaba has cheap lights, might even find Mars' manufacturer on there but there are a plethora of options based on what you want. I look for high efficiency - 2.4+ umols/j, a quality spectrum with 660-730 additional reds, and quality materials.

Also, if you are inclined to DIY, you can build better than what you'll buy from Mars or Spiderfarmer and it will be near the performance or better than some of those companies I mentioned. Either way they will all grow lights.

Here's an article on grow light metrics
