The best thing about where we live(for fishing i mean) is the raw variety of freshwater fish we have to choose from locally....and hehehe I go after most of these species, or at least I have at different points in my life!

Black Crappie
White Crappie
White Bass
Silver Bass
Jumbo Perch
Sunfish
Smallmouth Bass (4 pounder common)
Largemouth Bass (4 pounder fairly common)
Walleye (including the elusive blue walleye)
Sauger
Northern Pike
Musky
Rainbow Trout
Brown Trout
Brook Trout
Splake
Lake trout
White Fish
Herring
Burbot
Course fish (catfish, carp, dogfish, gar pike)
Salmon (several species)

Pretty hard to get bored with all of those options...especially considering there is trophy potential in most species(stuff like bass, crappie and cats don't grow to the sizes they do in the warmth of the US)

Some awesome fishing spots and heck of a catch. You using Cajun red line or is that some braid?

I have used cajun before, but these days i primarily use braid....this is a test i did to see if this china purchased line is any good.....thumbs up especially for cost!! ($5 shipped for 300 yards)

Haha.....yeah the climb out holding a strong flopping fish and my rod as well was a challenge for sure!! So true on the flight part though man!! I went for 3.5 hours and smoked 5 joints (3 citrus noir and 2 auto night queen) I was so stoned i left my rod leaning up against the tree beside the river and walked to the road(1 mile) before realizing i left my rod behind, and had to ice pack my fish and walk all the way back to the river for my rod...hahahahahahahha :D :LOLStoned:

Only two fish caught, but man what a great day!! I don't even care how many i catch..just happy to be there in such a beauty spot!!

Actually I filleted these two and they are freezing...a few friends have been begging me for some trout. I still might be able to get out and get some more in the next couple of days, river is literally a 10 minute drive from the house...planning to hit the water in the boat this weekend for pike and a possible walleye. Will certainly bring some pike home if we get some 10 pounders.
fishing rod thing, cheech and chong moment for sure:rofl:, my take....anything that keeps you in the woods a little longer, a good thing!

And back to the plants!!

Day 61 Hyper ryder SPG
Okay we are looking at 70%coloured pistils on the light feeder hyper ryder. I started water only yesterday...might be timing her to be taken a slight bit early, but i don't care....going by the growth on the 2 plants in the stealth cab under the leds versus the plants under the t5's i want to get some of them in there asap!! Ambient room temps are just too warm to run the third LED...hitting 85 with just 2 going, and the hot running old version mars kicks it up to over 90(coupled with low humidity its too much)

All seedlings are doing well...no glaring issues to deal with at all. Training has begun on several...got to get those branches trained out wide now before they get too stiff! Hoping to get out within a week and expand the full sun garden for another 4, and get the lime and horse manure mixed in. Lots of work to do to get the garden prepped!! Also lots of other garden work to do!!

Haha....ain't that the truth!! Any minute spent out there is a good one!!

High GS,

Loved the story! Sounds like stuff I used to do. And you came through unscathed (not wet). I'd love to join you for a fish dinner!

IN all honestly i am a fool for going for that fish....with a pair of ruptured discs in the upper neck it was a risk!! If I would have taken a fall hard it could have been very bad!! Would i do it again? Hell yes!! :D :D Never admit defeat!!
