LED’s - just Veg or Veg and Bloom?

hi,

I’m doing my first grow and was wandering about which lights to use on my LED. I’m 17 days in since breaking the surface and I’ve only had the Veg proportion of my LED on. When should I switch on the Flower LED’s or should I just switch them on for the whole grow? What do other LED users recommend?

Good leds cost good $
COBs are still kinda up to date
But you should consider getting a Quantum Board.

~400w real draw to light up a 1.2*1.2 space, equals to 1000w wat hps ppl say.

I still use HPS, cause qbs are too expensive for me atm

Thanks, I already have my LED, it has separate Veg and Bloom switches. I am just asking if I should use both Veg and Bloom lights from day 1 or just use the Veg light to start and then switch on the Bloom at some point, and if so when do I switch it on.

Well I had (dont use it cause I bought some auto cobs) 300 watt mars hydro light and it didnt gave the veg light but it used both so it was purple, so I say use both now. What is the brand?

It’d really be your call. I’ve used a 1000w blurple led all the way through grows before I switched to autocobs, And honestly, The only difference is that my girls look happier through veg with autocobs.
...and my electric bill is $75 lower.
I’d say look into the spectrum of each setting, And use whatever correlates with better plant growth overall, honestly.

Whats an autocob mate i hear that alot recently.. whats the difference between autocob and good (old) cobs?

“ autocob” is basically just a term for the pre-assembled cobs that come from cobshop.net, Which is owned and run by afn member
BigSmo. They’re 100% plug and play, Bright as hell, And plants love them.

I’ve got two 55 watt, and two 65 watt.
My tent gave me something like 1.39 gpw last grow, So I’ll talk the lights up like crazy lol.(gpw=grams per watt)

I started with just the veg lights on then I switched to both and the plants really took off. I will start with both on next time.

Started with both. Only our 1st grow but I read the heck outa the question. Besides, what part of the green/yellow spectrum is in only one or the other? Nah, figure it's all there in the sun so didn't see the point in tryin to partition, specially for autos.
