Hi everyone! I've done a few grows with autos now...but seem to get a low yield with my LED light. I've grown an Auto White Widow, very nicely, but was wondering if the Auto need a rest (say 20/4) versus a full 24 hours period. There seems to be no consensus in the forums I've read.
Now I'm starting with a Think Different auto, just germinating.
Any suggestions?

I always run 20/4, but thats just what I prefer, every once in a while ill run 18/6 for the hell of it.

24/0 shouldn't lessen the yield bro but most people use a 20/4 or 18/6 cycle,what light do you have bro and what heights have you used it at?

20/4 seems to be perfect for autos. 24/0 is plant torture .

Somebody made a comparison here on AFN, he tested 12/12 vs. 20/4 vs. 24/0. He found that 12/12 & 20/4 were almost similar, with 20/4 being a little bit better. And the 24/0 plants did worst. I hope the person who did this reads this and posts here, sorry I don't recall who it was mate.

Don't recall seeing that thread and I would love to see it because I don't agree an auto will yield higher at 12/12 compared to 24/0. My recent auto grows have used 24/0 for the first half of the grow and 20/4 for flower....the time they were in 24hr light I saw no adverse affects in fact I saw quicker veg growth.

I just harvested an Auto Northern Lights on 12/12 (it was in my flowering photo cab.) Yielded 22.1 grams dry, but DEFINITELY noticed a huge difference in bud density versus my previous grows of 16-20 hours lights on. I personally would never do 12/12 on an auto ever again unless it wasn't flowering or for some other reason that would necessitate (but that's just me.)

Thanks guys, I have a Blackstar 135W and put it normally at 15 cm. height. My closet is 0.6 x 0.6 x 1,8 mts and I've managed to grow two plants at a time (an Auto White Widow + an Auto Calipso), on 10 L pots. The yield (dry weight) was 12 grs. for the WW and 16 grs. for the Calipso. The smoke is great although I have the feeling that buds could have been denser and the yield much better.
