Research studies claim to show soy-derived lecithin has significant effects on lowering serum cholesterol and triglycerides, while increasing HDL ("good cholesterol") levels in the blood of rats.[25][26].
As of 2015, research is in progress for claims about certain types of derived lecithin as "cognitive enhancers" for treatment of ADHD but currently there is insufficient evidence for this.[27]
