Hi guys,

First time grower here. I am growing a Northern Lights auto and an Ogesus auto. They are on day 7 from sprouting. Planted in soil and haven’t received any nutrients yet as I understand they won’t need any for the first few weeks.

The Ogesus is loving life but the Northern Lights leaves came out a bit crinkled. They have got better but are still a little misshapen with slightly curved up edges in places. The leaves also have some light patches on them.

The LED lights have been around 20 inches from the plants but I have raised them as I was concerned this may be light burn.

Temperature has always been between 20 degrees c to 29 so shouldn’t be a heat issue.

Not sure if this is a problem or just the strain but I’m just learning so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

They look fine at the moment. Sometimes I've had misshapen leaves happen but they usually work themselves out.

Only thing i would do is check the ph of the water and not to over water. i've got 3 NL's going on their 4th week now. Link to the journal is below. Patience and patience goes a long way :peace:

Brilliant thanks heaps guys. I think I may have overwatered when they first sprouted but have been really careful not to since so it may be from that early on. Haven’t been checking ph as we have spring water but I will get on to that. Thanks heaps!

they are ready for nutrients, just start with 1/4 strength or whatever the label recommends for seedlings.
at minimum i'd give them some epsom salts (1 tablespoon per gallon, then 2 later on)

You didn't say what the soil is. If it is something like Fox Farms Ocean or Happy Frog, or Pro Mix organic, there is enough nutes in the soil to kale care of them without extra nutes for awhile. If you do add extra nutes, try using only 1/4 of the amount recommended. I've got some minor white tips on new growth that I think was due to going a bit over the 1/4 amount. I'll go straight H2O for the next couple waterings :peace:
