LBH test the blues

the issue with the sicly blue haze was for sure lack of light from me trying to make them stretch over the cup. i raised them with a row of cement blocks and that should help. updat with pics next week sometime................cb420

Day 14 update

my how things have changed in this thread. well i never got control over my 2 unhealthy blue haze. i have pulled them and the tier cup from the pot with my soil in it and there were not even any roots going into the mix , but 1 from each plant. like it dipped its toe in the water and didn't want to go in.......lol.....so i re-potted them instead of killing them. they are now together in a 4 gallon pot full of pure promix, with a touch of perlite. lets see if they come back now. i didnt want to let everyone down who just had to have all 8 plants , so i popped 2 99 dragons to replace them in the line up. i hear great things about these dragons....but.......on with the show...

here is the blue cobra haze at day 14 they are all looking real strong and healthy even though some are a tad smaller...... DSC00260.jpgDSC00261.jpgDSC00262.jpgDSC00263.jpg.....they are not numbered but i will do my best to keep this order each week utill i pull them out and number them. ok, here are the 2 blue haze that i will be running till the end and hoping for a good female in the mix. they are starting to really take off now, all of them are really......DSC00258.jpgDSC00259.jpg......and last and sadly least as well are the 2 re-potted blue haze that will be hanging around as long as they are not in the way, but if they dont do something now we will be telling them gb forever.......DSC00264.jpg...... thats what i got for now well i have this group shot of all my af room..........DSC00244.jpg........ththththt ththt thth thats all folks...............................cb420

ok, hello again all. plants are growing now. the blue haze are definitely sensitive to -n-. i will not be able to save them really , but that is what testing is all about. now we all know. it is not like i had to cut my feed with them, i never fed them. them soil alone was far to hot for them. i have had them going long enough to see who they are. i have 2 of the blue haze pulled out as males...DSC00431.jpg...View attachment 93373as you can see, one of the males is from the 2 i put in promix. and the other was probably my best bh , but that is not saying much with the -n- issues.........there is still one of the ones left in that was growing ok, but it has been really effected by my mix, and i will just let her run her coarse, but i really wish i had some to run in a different mix......DSC00432.jpgView attachment 93377...... i have a blue haze left that i transplanted into promix that i think is female too.......View attachment 93378DSC00433.jpg........ she is just now starting to come out of her toxic state. i will let her stay the coarse as well. now on to the blue cobra haze........

these plants have grown a lot better for me over-all. the liked my mix and i have mixed in the top dress and they like it seemingly. the one that was looking the best is a male i believe........DSC00428.jpg..........i am not mad because the others look almost the same but with more branching......DSC00435.jpgDSC00437.jpgDSC00436.jpg.......i saw that the poster formerly known as doobieashtray is saving some pollen . i am wondering if anyone minds if i take the pollen that comes from this blue cobra haze........DSC00428.jpg.....and hit it to this mdanzig sour spyder i have.......DSC00441.jpg........i will gift the beans back to lbh or mdanzig if they request or i will not do the cross if i am asked not to. thats all i got for now y'all. i over-all love the LBH gear, but i wish i did not put them in my normal mix. now we all know for when and if they hit the stores.

i doubt that i will be changing anything in my grow, but everone else seems to get more females then i do. thats cool, i just pop more beans to cover my needs. that being said, this is no exception. out of my 4 b haze i found 1 female, and out of my 4 blue cobra haze i again found 1 female.........

my bh never really pulled out fully , and i have way to much gear to run to spend much time on a plant with slow or poor veg in my conditions. but, i had a plan so this is what i have done with this test grow.....

i put all of the males outside , as it is cold but they still have plenty of year left to produce pollen.....DSC00884 (2570x1928).jpgDSC00885 (2570x1928).jpg.....these ones are the blue haze males outside in the 45-55degree weather and they are they 2 that have always looked bad. no change there but they are male and really stinky males, so i do want to get some pollen. and here is one of the 2 bchaze that i kept outside..DSC00886 (2570x1928).jpg....and this is the ones out side that are most important to me. i took my one female blue haze that was not liking my growing style and i planted it outside in a pot with my grapefruit tree and right beside a blue cobra haze male....DSC00880 (2570x1928).jpgDSC00882 (2570x1928).jpgDSC00883 (2570x1928).jpg.... i expect this cross will like me more. the 1 blue cobra haze is all i have left in the 18/24 room......DSC00864 (2570x1928).jpg....it still looks healthy from every direction. it may be slowed down some from when i took it out of the tier cup. it was healthy in it, but i wanted to see if one grew better not in the cup, but it was my only female..i still have high hope for my one blue cobra i have, and i hope no one minds me crossing the other 2 i have. thats the best thing i could think to do with them.....later ....cb420

Is that promix, and have you started foliar feeding?

it is my own soil mix that i have had around for a long time. it is based in promix, but with lots of goodies. same mix i used for everything from the spyders to the dragons and all my photo gear too. i dont foilar feed. i top dress the soil with Peruvian seabird guano pelleted and lime per the way the plant reacts to the mix...it is how i developed my grow style over the years....cb420

i also finish with lots of black-strap molasses and i do a pk boost at the time i feel it is needed. i use blossom builder because it has no -n- in it. and i have used liquid cool bloom and it worked well to. i also have a jug og cal/mag plus. i never used anything other then the lime until i grew the spyders and realized how much they used cal/mag....cb420

do you reuse your soil? maybe there's still a lot of guano left in it.

i have reused it for several years now. i really cant even say how mant times i reuse it. everything else is in love with the mix, and i did at some point end up repotting the blue haze into straight pro mix. it still never looked better or came out of it. i do use ro water and at that point it was pure ro water. you think i was maybe a water issue. i cant imagine, but i did just replace the filter at the beginning of this grow.
