Mephisto Genetics KiS Bio Char Mix Meets Mephisto

@Roasty McToasty ..... Can I talk you into a SIP Container? Zero issues with overwatering and bugs, especially when you have a plastic mulch cover over your mulch ....

Going forward with new grow ..... Stars lining up nicely

@beavis ..... Yea right $500 from KIS and then you’ll need something else!

I'm telling you bro, these effing gnats will laugh at any cover, unless you can get a complete seal on it. Hard to do with young seedlings. Hindsight, yeah I would have gone SIP route. Prevention is key, and the cover helps with that. I was infested and had to use top dressings and todes to end it. There should be bugs in your soil, you just don't want pests. The oly mountain fish compost has beneficials in it, I can see them when I lift the plastic.

Lol it's easy to rack up a $500 tab when shipping is $40/bag on their soil. Luckily everything else has free shipping. Going the cheapest option on the things that I can, but this price includes Blu mats and a 5 gal compost tea Brewer (aerated compost tea) which are not too cheap.

@beavis ..... Compost Brewer on my list ...... First learned about from Smiling Phil .....

Check this dude out https://www.smilinggardener.com/sale/organic-fertilizers/ ..... believe Tad even mentions Phil in a podcast .....

@Roasty McToasty - Yes cover must be completely sealed to stop them Flippin Bugs - BUT - some neem and the like at stem and it’s “more better” ..... also remember over wet soil helps breed them there devils and a SIP container helps eliminate overwater issue .....

Downside - Soils like Biochar not so good in a SIP Container - you need peat based to help with wicking .....

Sam had some Biochar and peat based from build a soil - so Sam’s soil was a mix along with a couple gallons of compost from worm bin and some kelp, neem and Katanga mixed into as well

You ain’t a kid-den, coin goes fast ..... My daughter lives like 15 miles from KIS in Washington and next year when we visit my RV will be coming back with some goodies.

Peace

Looking real good grobro ..... I like the experiment with the different mixes as well ......
Thanks bro, seems my mix is pacing right along with the KiS mix, feeling real lucky I didn't eff it up.

They got a compost tea and a foilar at lights out last night, and wow they grew a lot. Haven't seen youngsters like this in quite a while. Forgot what they should be doing by week 3.

Second trip is always better, you know the road ..... Happy to hear and glad AFN is up, hoping it stays!

I just sprouted a 24K and Sour Livers ...... Getting area setup in garage for these two, going to do individual cob lights outside of a tent, just kinda a casual thing - I’m still working on Sam’s 12oz and 5-6 oz of 3 bears, Strawberry Nugs and Goldie - so I’m kinda flush right now - slowed way down from 3-4 Jays a day to 1ish with the hotter weather and all the outdoor stuff happening plus this organic is so good it seems I’m not smoking as much cause I get blasted every time and if I don’t I just change up flavors, Sam’s Joints seem like they put themselves out, especially if it’s a pencil size - larger circumstance ones don’t u til 2/3rds way down then you can’t light them, so heavy with soil ..... Loving LOS GroBro, just absolutely loving it .....

May start grow journal on the two, if AFN stays up a few days ...... Using a small SIP for both, unlike Sam which had about 22 gallons soil / mulch when done .... the Flippin Container was so heavy I had to pull out like 8 gallons of top dressing / mulch and soil before I could even think about lifting container, it was a ba__ buster for sure!

Beautiful Roasty, good job!
