Very nice review. I'd be interested in any further info you toss up on the rebuilding you talked about as well. This was something I have thought about. I like the product and aren't opposed to supporting them by buying over and over. But seems I should be able to take it, the soil I used to top, some amendments and use it all as a good base to start getting into cooking my own mixes. Total noob with soils, though, so will have to start reading from scratch when I get to that point. Maybe a group thread in the organics section on re-cooking Kindsoil specifically if enough folks get into it?

Anyhow...again, great review. Also gives me food for thought on a few of the issue leaves I'm seeing on my current test grow using the soil that I assumed were PH swings and human error, and now I'm back to being not sure. :smoking:

thanks fellas ,appreciate it!! and on he rebuilding I have a few ideas yet the real experiment that needs to be conducted which ill eventually get to prolly this year,is take 10 gallons of well,used soil from KS toss in a bit of compost or similar,bokashi and maybe some fresh EWC as well for a nice life party and compost them roots into the soil.THEN take it and re pot that solely and find out how much of the foods are still left in the life and soil so know the tipping point. THEN it can be reworked with new kindsoil OR maintenance pack or similar re amending item. but could easily be done from scratch to reuse as a recipe as well.

and one more time for you in the cheap seats Im doing an LED test and decided to see if the soil also performs well from beginning to end under an LED. soo I decided to mix up some soil.

I took a 14 gallon container and mixed 1 and a half bags into roughly a 50/50 mix of my own soil and plain Plant!T coco coir.mixed it really well,and, Voila.instant awesome I think. then topped her off with lighter soil and coco mix as I got closer and ran a small touch less of soil than I thought.only maybe a gallon. so its just the very top inch er so of the pots.

I mixed my Kind Soil test plant like this.very similar anyways ,and i hope to have some pics of that to add already LOL but you may want to try this way by essentially thickening up the bottom layer with dr earths or similar and coco. works well with good water. no cal mag,nadda.

it is,has slight issues,but solvable though.easily. but its a nice soil. wish it had coco over peat though too. but yes'sir

if I wasnt doing a test I would have topped the pot with fresh soil,since I have grown the MS before and shes a real performer noo doubt,shes just a feeder apparently and in all honesty would have most likely towered over the SNOG.but that smoke along with the moonstone is damned sweet,smooth and Im vying for more right meow too LOL
