Soaked 4 seeds in distilled water for 24 hours and then put them in paper towel for 24 hours. They all had taproots(some between a few mm and some a couple of cm). I then put them in solo cups with a mix of 75% Fox Farms Happy Frog 25% perlite with a few handfuls of coco and a half teaspoon of Dynomyco Mycorrhizae mixed in
and placed them in the grow tent. The temps were 77f and 70rh consistently with two kingbrite qb's 2 feet away dimmed to 7500 lux. After planting the seeds i watered with 10ml 80ppm of distilled water (40 ppm of calmag and 40ppm of Greenleaf Sea Kelp ph to 6.7) and misted the tops. On the second day i misted them in the afternoon and at night they were dry up to my second knuckle so i watered them with 20ml of the same solution. I continued misting them the next few days and after over 110 hours in the dirt i decided to check on them. They were all close to the surface but none of them had any growth at all.. they were the exact same size as when i put them in the ground. Feely really depleted here and confused on where to go from here.

The only thing I can think of is that they didn't need any nutes at that point and you killed them with it. Everything else sounds pretty spot on to me.

Bump for more experienced growers to chime in.

10 and 20ml is that correct or a typo? Did you presoak the medium?

Somebody needs to speak up and help you with your germ methods. Way too many layers. Have no idea where all that came from but I guess you learn most by failing.
Try this...place seed 1/2" deep in some moistened medium ...temp 80...mist now and then....smoke a doob. I get 100% germ by 4 days with nothing else. A quality medium will support any plant for 2-3 weeks. May just change ya luck.
Most of us older growers do it the simplest way possible...no soaking, no paper towels and no fertility chants.
AFN is a great place to help you iron out your grow issues and you'll find however complicated some do things, most go back to the simple stuff.

That is correct and no i did not presoak

Okie dokie, well we live and learn. Next time presoak the medium with a very light dose of calmag. Make sure to fully soak the medium and then this would be when I started my germ process. That part seemed fine for you anyway but personally it's a 24-36hr soak and then straight planted for me. When you're ready to plant your medium will be wet but not overly. You will likely have to feed her low strength nutes after a few days to a week :pass:

I dont know there bro, FFHF dont need cal/mag to start. I use it all the time and dont pre-soak that soil at all. FFHF on top or mixed in and plant seed in soil. Yes, wet the soil b4 you plant but dont need cal/mag to start. Its already in the soil. Just my 2 cents!

As you can see, it already in the soil.

Fair, I was thinking coco, my bad. Needs to be soaked to start though

Sounds like they needed a bit more wet to me. Other stuff sounded well in bounds. New sprouted seeds need to be wet but not waterlogged. They need both water and air.

My first autos got burnt by hot and dry soil, glad they were gifts from a friend. I soak in spring water,(shot glass) on top of cable box for 12 hrs and then plant to final pots now. 100% germ rate since I changed techniques
