Indoor June Giveaway 2018

Make zip tie rings on your tent poles to hold seedlings. Weight and pitch of the cup counters the weight against the pole.

Ok, I got something very simple, and I'm sure I'm not the 1st to think of this but haven't seen anyone else doing this. If you're like me and prefer fabric smart pots LST can be tricky. So I like to tie my girls down with safety pins. It allows me to secure branches to pot without damaging smart pots.

I tried down with soft flexable wire ties fro miracle grow. 20ft at kmart was under $3. Make sure soft foam so you don't cut your ladies.

I get like 500 safety pins on Ebay for $10. The more pins you get the cheaper and 500 last me a long time. You can reuse a few times so 500 can turn into 1000+. You can also have multiple ties on 1 pin. 1.5"-2" are good size. I hope it helps!

Dont know if its been mentioned or not

If you are using airpots and have a gnat infestation use panty hoes to prevent them from getting back to the soil and laying more eggs and just use a twist tie to close the top around stalk

Here's my solution to wanting to setup another small tent with CFLs for a nursery and my wife telling me "you're using to much energy" .

My adjustable solo cup nursery shelf. With the straps attached to a screw on the end not screwed in all the way and the strap with a small hole cut to attach it. I can tighten it up from the top of the strap to change the heighth of the shelf. I used straps so that it swings whenever I get haphazardous and bump things and the wood strips down the side of the shelf keeps the solo cups from slipping out on the floor.

You don't lose any footprint illumination. :gary:

Got a seed that wont germinate? Dont give up so quickly. I toss all my unpopped seeds in dirt and leave them. This guy is actually 23 days old. I had given up and this morning it was coming out of the dirt. I just pulled it from my current grow medium and transplanted to solo cup.

Surely saving seeds is a good gardening tip.

This may be the winning one, if not oh well. Always check your power cords, no matter if it's a new setup or been up for years. By checking them i mean physically put hand around plug in and check temps. Pull plug from wall and check for corrosion. Make sure you have no bare wires and all are away from water. I do this daily but once a week would be good practice.
