For experience and interest I will post a weekly update on my Jorge's Diamonds #1 photoperiod grow. It's my first time posting and third time growing. :smokeit:

Using all organic soil + organic fertiliser, 200W purple LEDs, simple fan and humidifier. One plant only due to space. Dropped the seed four weeks before the first picture. Topped twice, planning to top the strongest of the four tips again to take a couple of clones (just experimentation).

Very limited for space, money and resources. Mainly growing now for practice, knowledge and a little bud! Happy to be in this supportive and friendly community. I have a lot of book knowledge on indoor farming; now time to get practical.

Growing Jorge's Diamonds #1 from Dutch Passion, much love for Jorge Cervantes and huge respect for DP seed bank, making the dutch proud :worship:

Not a lot to see yet, very slow growth in soil under LEDs but I'm in no rush. Do your thing your way and enjoy it :smokeit::smokeit:

(Will post a pic when I work out how to)

Just dropping a couple of pics, first before supercropping today and then after

Growth is slow but healthy, that's all I need to make me happy :smoking:

After supercropping

And she's now back under the LEDs, supercropping was an hour ago and she's already halfway to vertical.

Peace

Thanks for your support guys, welcome! :pass:

As I won't update for another week I'll just leave a few more details and specifics on my indoor organic soil Jorge's Diamonds #1 grow, named Jorginha! :smoking:

The medium is some French brand of organic soil mixed with 20% clay pellets, and some extra clay pellets at the bottom and on top. Soil felt good and spongey, didn't seem to contain fibrous bark etc.

The pot is soft plastic 14 litres (2 gallons I think??) but only filled to 10 litres. Drilled 12-15 holes in the bottom. A little bummed that I didn't fill the pot fully before transplanting Jorginha in.

Nutrients are mostly what's contained in the soil but I also have some organic fertiliser on hand, it's your standard thick guinness-like stuff, smells fantastic and the previous plant loved it.

It's a budget setup all the way, not conducive to monster yields... some day I'll have a full grow room but for now I don't have the space or the cash!

I used this setup previously for an auto grow, she was totally derailed at the flowering stretch but still yielded some sticky bud. I went away for a week as she started her stretch -- came home to find her 3x taller, pushing directly against the LEDs! With extensive supercropping she survived and made it to harvest, for a pretty poor yield. All that mattered there was running the equipment through and gaining experience

So, I'll keep a log and come by next weekend to share some more pics and update you guys on Jorginha's progress! Appreciate your support, you got mine too :thanks::thanks:

:smokeit: smoke happy, til next week

Second entry for my grow journal here guys, welcome! :pass:

Got her on an 18/6 light schedule and alternating between plain water and organic fertiliser, drinking 1L every 2-3 days.

Growth is still slow but more importantly still healthy. In organic soil under 200W LEDs she just doesn't get enough power for rapid development, and I further slowed her down through topping and supercropping. No worries since I'm not working to a deadline!

I would really appreciate some advice on timing the transition. I am low on vertical space so want to flip asap. If I flip her now will she produce three decent sized colas? Or is there simply not enough vegetation to power a strong flowering phase? (I topped twice for four main stems, and removed one to attempt a clone; thanks to @SmokezAlot for cloning advice, I'll include the result next week)

To keep her shorter I've regularly supercropped her stems, almost daily actually (so impressed with how she bounces back). She's 80% indica so hopefully we won't be dealing with an enormous stretch.

Snail paced growth means no more to report, so here she is

Three even 'main' tips in development

Stem structure and you can see how small she is, also tape from a supercropping fuckup :haha:

Thanks to all friends who drop by to check out my grow :thanks: another update next week - hopefully will have transitioned by then but I'll wait for advice for or against that

Kind brother :pass: but everything I know is thanks to others taking the time to explain stuff :jointman:

Then we'll start her on 12/12 monday unless a wise man says not to, cheers :smokeit::smokeit:

Hi there loyal dudes, time for another update on Jorge's Diamonds #1, now at the start of her flowering phase. Hope you're all staying healthy, remaining calm and keeping stocked on supplies... most importantly, on sticky bud!! I got half a jar of Cheese from my last grow, and a bunch of CBD only weed on hand to last me til this lady gets harvested and cured :smoking: but being off work for the next month may see my consumption increase :woohoo1:

But you're here for an update not a diary entry so here it is

Flipped her to the 12/12 flowering light schedule around one week ago. She's looking just a little longer already but we're still a week or two away from seeing her full stretch... I've shaped her hoping for three fat main colas and I'll do all I can to keep her height down.

She's drinking 1L every 2 or 3 days, alternating plain water and water with ~7ml organic fertiliser per L.

The seed was actually dropped around January 16th, earlier than I remembered. The root system underneath is crazy developed compared to what's above the soil, cos she's been topped twice. I wonder if she's gonna blow up soon or stay neat and small...

Here she is!

Very happy with how evenly the three tops have grown out. Just took a little LST.

This strain is said to be very easy to grow, and I can confirm! You could climb her stalks like a ladder they're so consistent. She's showing her indica stoutness now, I hope that continues...

The clone I took from her a week ago died in the soil, it had curled up and turned brown so I canned it yesterday and saw that no roots had grown. I didn't have any root stimulator/clonex, I'd like an organic one as everything else in the grow is organic -- but what I'd have liked even more is another plant :smokeit:

No Diamonds clone means the next grow will be something new! I have a few seeds on hand from Dutch Passion:

Blackberry Kush
CBD Charlotte's Angel
Think Different

And a Northern Lights from Royal Queen seeds

All are autos. Think Different, a tried and tested A++ plant but that's probably the least likely option next. Never grown my own cbd only bud before so Charlotte is dropping next or second, depending on if I can resist the allure of Blackberry Kush...

Lastly I cycled out this morning to the countryside, where I dropped a Royal Cheese auto seed (from RQS). A good plant and very lively smoke but it was way too stinky indoors for me last time! Hopefully she makes it through the early couple of weeks out there, I'll check back on her from time to time and post a pic if she gets up. It's a long shot that it will end in me harvesting her, but I'll give it the old college try! In the Netherlands it's hard to find a good spot, in England a guerilla grow would be much easier.

That's it from me. Be safe til next time friends, it's crazy out there at the moment :yeahthat:
