I have a friend that’s down on her luck right now. she’s depressed she keeps calling me. I’m trying to help her to help herself. She’s unemployed, behind on her bills, and gets suicidal sometimes. Man life can be rough. I been sending her links for social services and jobs. She’s so depressed and tired of getting rejected by prospective employers. Just trying to bring a more positive perspective is difficult because I know how hard this can be. I had my family. She has no one.

That's good your trying to help her out. It's a tough time and just being there to listen makes a big difference. Hope that things turn around for her and more positive feelings.

I’m making asparagus ravioli with pesto. And texting with my poor friend.

This sounds good except for the pesto not really a fan of too much basil.
