here we take icefishing seriously...lol....sonars cameras gps topography of lakes. Full on!! (there is a reason my buddies and I ice a fair bit of fish!!)

yes! the biggest bitch @change O season is to go out in the morning and find your net frozen in. I've been fishing for sheefish as the river is freezing up. Aim casts between pan ice flows, whata hoot!

You know I'm technically off-duty on that fishing stuff. But man a fresh rockfish would sure make me popular about now

Yeah you catch sheefish right up until it freezes over? That would be awesome and challenging!! Its a bitch when all of your eyes on your rods are freezing up every 2 casts though!!

further down river conditions are right for setting nets under the ice! First part of winter lots of whitefish harvested this way

Ooo yeah!! This is how much of a western saltwater greenhorn i am...not familiar with a rockfish! Are they close by your place?
