Best thing in my growroom is my auto pot systems!
I'm really thinking about getting some. Harvesting without power tools (I use an oscillating saw for stalks) and hand watering has been killing me lately.
If I had more faith in the Blumats I've got, I'd be using those... But I'd need 5 per pot, I believe, Since I ordered the wrong ones.

I have been drooling over the possible purchase of Autopots for some time. Is there knockoffs out there that need to be avoided? Who the maker of your model? From what I have seen on the AFN forums is that maintenance is a breeze or replacement parts or modifications is easy also?

I run blumats...I havent had a problem. I run standard carrot per 5gal air pot. You need 5 carrots per pot? what size pot? They do make larger carrots .

I have no clue how many I'd need, honestly. I just run 7 gallon pots of coco.

I've not seen any knockoffs and I got mine direct from autopotsusa.com. sometimes its better to pay a little more to deal direct with the manufacturer when you have questions or support issue. Not that I've had any! Ohh you hear an occassional flooding story but they are 99.9% user error. I mean really, how much can go wrong with a system with 2 moving parts....... Auto pots give you the best of both hydro and soil/coco by providing a constant source of nutrients at a consistent ppm and just about perfect hydration of the medium. And no tedious hand watering!

Hi @davisgirl ........Two ways you might could go about this............check in housewares or ask somebody in Loew's or whatever store you have in your area........for closet rod hanger rods.....check and see if they have anything that might work here....some of the methods they have for attaching the hanger rod in closet......I've seen clamp on and screw on types.....see if one the methods there might work...you'll have to adapt it somewhat, but it shouldn't be very hard.
The other method would involve using PVC plumbing pipe and T joints............you could split the joints and glue them over your poles in your tent and then fit whatever length you need to span your tent. These things would not be as hard to do as they may sound.

Another thought just came to me.........you could try electric clamp on fixtures like the ones we[growers]use when using some kinds of CFB lighting. You would clamp the fixtures on the back and front poles and run a piece of PVC pipe or and dowel rod between them for your cross piece. Hope this helps! if I can help further or you have a question, just send me a PM.
Strllar ideas, all of them — lots of options I hadn’t considered. Thank you!

I’m saving your posts and a couple other ones, so when I get the tent I’ll be able to have a look see and see what’s what, the best way to lay out everything — then I can refer back to these ideas and see what’s best.

Thanks AFN Live Stoners!
