Do you use bait or something else? Fishing through the ice still blows my mind! I hate the cold but would make an exception to ice fish!
@the green bandit - we have several lakes we fish that are much deeper...one is just under 300 feet deep...we only fish to 120 feet deep though

We have huts and heaters...sit in the warmth in sweaters and smoke joints all day...ain't so bad!! ;)

Generally we use live minnows in the 2-4" size, but we also use dead minnow baits that are 8-12" in size on set rods

I always pictured paradise to be palms and warm weather... now I'm thinking it's stoned in a hut fishing through the ice!

I've recently switched from bait to soft plastics, only down side is you have to stop fishing to smoke a joint or drink a beer!

In the summer when fish are plenty active we use alot of soft plastics.....they can certainly get expensive though!!

You're not wrong about them being expensive...I only use z-man plastics now, i have found that they last a LOT longer.

Shit man that really is paradise! It's hard to find any where with no people around to fish over here, unless you want to drive for 10 hrs!
