howdy friend! How was your weekend?

Due to a lapse in nursing coverage for my dad, he needed meals for the week. Spent most of yesterday cooking, and wound up with a ton of food. Loving the idea of packing meals into pint jars... so convenient..

Anyway, I had already made a bunch of beef stew and a tomato/chicken/pasta thing. Also made some pork roast/sauerkraut and chicken noodle soup. So we both now have three pints of each for the week.

Mix in a couple loaves of sourdough and I think he's well covered for food!

Oh, and I made a batch of pulled-pork BBQ..

Damn, it's good, too.

2.5 quarts yield. Gave one to dad.

I'm sure he'll appreciate the good home cooked meals, it sounds delicious! I must get your sourdough recipe one day as my wife is keen to start making some...
