35 degrees here in central VA, far to the south......supposed to get a large amount of snow here this weekend, depending on how the storm tracks!
Usual pattern here, it got cold for a while then warmer wet air comes in from the ocean and it's amazing how much water that snow can absorb :yoinks:

dang, -50f now!, and gas genny purr'n. @Jraven you'll probably recall the probs i had with the gas generators when it got real cold. I was going to build an insulated box to run them in. Before i did i got serious about understanding how air circulates around the running genny. Air is pulled from the front of the genny along the sides of the engine and around the top bottom and sides of muffler. The gennys are on the storm porch, their exhaust was exiting a 12'x12" hole in the wall. I filled in the hole and made a 2" port for the exhaust to exit. The cooling air circulation now bounces off wall(baffle) and warms the engine. How close or far to baffle I run genny controls how warm she runs. Real cold, like now, I have genny pushed right up to baffle, exhaust shoots out, heat bounces back, and i have her covered with a light sleeping bag. She's working perfect!
