Had a nice little pile of kief, so I figured I'd try to melt it into some 'ash.

I saw a video where glass bottle of hot water was used rolling-pin style to get everything broken and molten so they would concentrate down and make one solid chunk.

Unfortunately, with the mass of the pile being so low, it had almost zero capacity to retain heat. I didn't take any pictures of the process because I was too busy cursing under my breath as I burned my fingers on the tiny bottle.

So it did melt as the bottle rolled over, but cooled almost instantly as soon as it was uncovered. While it didn't exactly come together as I would have liked, it did produce something useful

It's thin, but relatively dense. And the taste....... I really really really really missed the taste of hash. This nailed it!

In hindsight I should have used one of those puck presses. Can't find mine though

Howdy, friend.

Pretty stoned from this make-shift hash. Enough to no longer care about my burned fingers. Note to self: Wait until you have gloves next time.

Heya Mike, I haven't made hash in a while now.....the trim and popcorn from my last lot of plants is destined for some extracts as soon as time permits...hopefully before 420

The one on the left looks like the buds aren't going to get very big, but there will be a lot of em, and they'll be pretty frosty. Might be fun to make a run at a good sized block of hash.

The one on the right still has potential to be a multi-ounce yield, too.
