When I made today's bread, I didn't spray the dough with water before baking. While the crust is still really chewy, it's not too hard to slice anymore. Still tastes amazing, so I think that's the new way going forward.

My dad had complained that it was hard to slice. Pretty much every other loaf i bake goes to him, and frankly he was right. This is much better.

Nothing else to say.. But that looks yummy.
Would you like my recipe? It's actually pretty easy considering the teeny amount of work invested.

On the other hand, this is a natural process (or more speciffically, natural yeast) and as such takes time. Lots of it.

Once you get into a pattern, it's actually really easy. The bread you wind up with is absolutely amazing, and amazingly good for you.
