Is this true , seeds sexing .

I have a bunch of BOG reg photo seeds that I planned to run close to the end of the year.
I will be giving them a very close look to see how it goes.
Since I have gone hydro in all my personal grows I really don't want to devote space to males unless it is for breeding, which I am not doing right now.

This seed sexing photo has been doing the rounds for many years. I must admit never really bothering to find out if it was true.
I guess one way would to take a pack of fem seeds and see if they all follow the the volcano trait.
The other way as it has been pointed out would to do 50/50 split and record the results.
On the whole I buy auto fems but there are some photo strains I want to grow which are only available in reg, so this could be helpful if it works.

Heard it when I first started here, posted a thread also. I've keep a eye in my seeds ever since then and far as I can tell it works only some the time. It is true that more rounded smooth seeds are most likely female but if u look in breeder packs that says fem seeds u will see some not so perfect shapes. Its up in the air with regs especially before you plant them

Maybe it should be called the "Sex Panther Method" - 60% of the time, it works every time

My buddie was given some seeds and used this similar guide on female seeds. He put what he could see as the "female" seeds and they were all female. They were also bag seed and could have been feminized plants that hermied so i guess it would be hard to tell. LOL

I bought a 5 pack of lowryder#2 Regular and went by that picture. and the ones that i guessed male were male 100% but, 5 is too little to prove it works, i think basically by what ive gathered, male seeds will never or rarely be "volcano" round so thats what the picture goes on,as females can be round and also imperfect but males will always be imperfect.Idk could've been complete luck also

Ehhh...... plant them all, then you'll know 100 %........................LOL! :Sharing One:

guys I planted 3 regs I believe to be female following the diagram and 3/3 all female just transplanted on into a bigger pot! This needs further testing there could be some type of truth to this method!

Nope, not real.
You may be right piggy you are a person always with good info,
Can explain how I was able to pick 3 females out of 100 reg seeds using this method was I really just that lucky? I didnt pick 5-10 seeds then select females I picked 3 all three sprouted and all 3 were female. I think it be better to say it needs further testing then outright it doesn't work.
