Indoor Is This Tent Big Enough?

I'm planning on getting a lighthouse hydro 2x4x5 tent and 4" inline fan with a 14" carbon filter, but is it going to be big enough for strains like Mi5? once my LED is hung and pots are in, I will only have a 2 foot max plant height to keep the light 12" above the top of my plants, I could LST but would rather keep them growing naturally.

I was thinking about also trying to flush mount the blackstar to the top of the tent, that would give me almost another foot of growth room.

I wouldn't flush mount the led panel mate,you will cover the fans up and I would imagine that's not good for the panel..I use led and I keep mine between 6/8 inchs when flowering and I'm in a tent similar to that one..

Thanks Coop, that makes me feel better about it

I was thinking flush mounting to the frame, and keep a 1/2" gap between the frame and tent material for the fans to keep working

I'm no expert mate but 1/2 inch doesnt sound much space to let the air out without it coming back onto the panel,but they don't give off hardly any heat so it may not be a prob,do a little test with yr panel before u put yr plants in mate and your good to go :smokebuds:

Have a look at my grow log, that is a log my of 2 x 4 foot tent running two 240 watt blackstars, hope it helps

gday budz, if money is not a big issue(i know most times it is) a taller tent could be in order, you have more options for the next grow down the road. i use blackstars and i am doing photo girls right now so they are getting tall 5ft if when you are runninig out of space take off the harness that comes with the blackstars and s hook from brass fittings directly to hanger bars puts light about 3 inches from top of tent, good luck! cheers & beers.

Thanks for stopping in Astronomy, money is a bit of an issue right now, that whole setup with the tent and filtration is only $300 can. shipped here, the S hook is a good idea too and probably what will happen if I do run out of space
