Lighting Is this cfl lights a good deal? ( new to cfl )

Hiya guys!

I found this lamps and wanna ask you guys what you think about it.

It is one 250w blue light with 6500k and one 250w red light with 2700k for around 120 US dollars each.

Good lights? Good price?

I've just looked on uk eBay and a 250w cfl with reflector are £60 - £70 which is around $100 - $115 so your price seems reasonable as long as u get the reflector too.
As for how many plants? I will leave that one for my good friend Noods lol.

No reflectors in my deal, so i am really thankfull for your help my friend. Low or no shipping cost to sweden to. I will get my lights from there.

they are great lights as long as you keep them close to the plants , they dont penetrate as well as MH or HPS but make up for it with less heat so you can keep them closer

Close like an inch? I have 10 ak 48 (photos) that is 7-8days under one 250w blue light right now about an inch away. And the look great.

Just wonder how many plants i can fit under 3 of theese lights when my girls get bigger..

And im going 12/12 from seed so my plants wont get bushy or so big/high = more plants under cfl lights..?

i hang mine vertically and they are each an inch or 2 away from plants

how many plants depends on lots of things , pot size , plant size , footprint you want (higher the light the bigger the footprint , but then you lose penetration)

not a simple question or answer , its something you need to figure out as you are the one in the growing area , maybe members could give a rough idea , but need more info

Yeah dude, i want the rough idea, thats all. But i will give some more info...

Gonna go for 1 or 3 liters air pots, and 12/12 from seed so plants wont be monsters in any way.

My grow area is about 120cm x 60cm and 100cm in hight. And in feet 3.9feet x 2feet and 3.2 feet in hight.

Have you thought about LST to keep the height down. You will be able to grow less plants and have your lights on longer therefore better yield.
