Is this a calcium deficiency?

Ph is too high. Should be around 6.5

Thank you for such an in-depth response MOG.

RH and Temp - Rh fluctuates between 50 - 60% and temp 25 - 28c. [I'm growing in my loft conversation so outside temp has an effect.] They are drinking.....and lots. 2 1/2 litres twice a day although I sometimes leave watering for 24 hours.

The advice regarding single nutrient line makes a lot of sense although where do you stop??? I have Biobizz All Mix / Light Mix soil, Biobizz Grow, Bloom, Fish Mix and Heaven. The only non Biobizz products I have used are the Plant Magic Magne Cal and Plant Magic Platinum [I've only used this twice and sparingly.]

I'll have to save up for the soil probe - sounds like corners shouldn't be cut in terms of quality. Given that I'll be continuing to grow in soil it's a no-brainer really.

Earth Juice MicroBlast - can't seem to get hold of it here in the UK - any alternatives?
:toke: ..pardon the delay Harry....

Light feeding overall has made for little in reserves and it's catching up, at least in part,...BioBizz's mild NPK#'s are also a factor here... LED seems to magnify Ca demands as well, but I think it's more than Ca defc. now. Ironically, it's suspect for a micronute defc. as mentioned (B or Mn I think, pretty rare), and as we were talking about in the GreenLeaf nutes section, and how EU/UK folks have little choices for a dedicated micro's supp'... Kelp extract, AlgaMic,... I'll tug some sleeves of EU folks, maybe they found something,... The trick is to find something that has broad coverage that includes ones like B, Mn, Mo..... A little borax can serve as a source of B,...
You nutes do have all they need, but that's contingent on you using most if not all of their base line and supp's, and at the consistent sched. intervals,.... skip that, and you risk getting shorted sometimes! So, feed more, up the Ca,.. (how far away is that light? -another mitigating factor)... Your pH is probably OK, but nothing guaranteed even with organics!

I see @Mañ'O'Green has dropped the Wheel of Confusion upon thee-... it's a good one, but a bit complex and lacking the appropriate text to go along with it.... :dizzy:

Good morning Waira.

Consider yourself pardoned!

I think you're right about the light / later feeding as all looked rosey for the first 4 weeks. I also added a quantum board to the Telos once flowering had commenced - i presume cal mag....at larger doses might have been required.

Micronutes - I think I have a solution for the next grow.....I have GHE Diamond nectar, Biotabs PK 5-8 and Humbolt Equilibrium on order to supplement the Biotabs + the Ecothrive Charge and Biosys.

Light distance is roughly 40cm although I had to supercrop a few weeks ago as the plants were a little closer.

Ultimately I've just started my 4th grow and I'm still absorbing knowledge - mistakes are good.....as long as I learns from them!

Thanks for the info my friend - that wheel of confusion I found a little complex. [I am a simpleton after all!]

Would certainly appreciate you following the new grow given your wealth of experience. Nothing yet to see as they've still to break soil - hoping there might be a few little surprises once I return home this evening.

..:smoking: HK, how they looking now? Oh, and what's this about adding a Q-board to the already atomic Telos? :eek1: there is usch thing as too much light, it can cause several problems, trigger defc.'s in localized areas,... LED is very tricky, our eyes are poor measure, and it doesn't really "burn", but can beat up the cellular machinery, if you will,... 2 blasters at about 18" may be too much, and could be, at least in part, the cause of the top biased symptoms,... move lights up, take one out maybe, pending what you say about this combo of lights....tent or open room?

Apologies and delayed apologies at that! Must have slipped through the net.

Thankfully a healthy harvest was achieved and the extra light didn't appear to harm the plant...i was able to raise both Telos and QB by an additional 15cm which appeared to do the trick.

Plenty of lessons learned [and probably some forgotten!!!] and thank you for your input along the way.
