Hi, im growing a white label northern lights auto fem, and am having a bit of a problem, im in my fifth week, and am seeing some very good growth and lots of flowers. But my tent is seeming to be a bit too short for my plant, and it has started to touch the light and scorch the top few leaves, is there any way i can stop upward growth so all the bud doesn't end up touching the light and burning before it gets a chance to grow?

Can you bend her over and tie her down?

Alternatively I have pinched the dominant growing tips stem about an inch down to crush the plant matter a little. As it knuckles it slows/stops and others catch up.

Week 5... she's gonna grow lots.

It sounds like you need to do a little LST(low stress training) like A Gardener stated above. Do a little reading up on it but it is a method to control a plants height while growing. Basically you are going to be bending the branches over and tying them down. This method also helps expose lower bud sites to more light.

she's 41 and a half inches high. so do you just tie string to the main stem and bend it down?

Yep you can tie the main cola that's touching the light and bend her over gentky... and each day bend a little further. If you go too aggressive at first it will bend or break the stem. But even if this happens the cola should survive the bent portion will form a knuckle and keep growing
