Hey guys hope I'm in the right part of the forum wondering if my tap water will be ok if I adjust it's ph.

It smells terrible of chlorine I heard if you leave it open 24 hours it's good but I also heard that other things determine if it's good for plants ppm or something?. This is city water no softner.

I don't have money right now for reverse osmosis, I bought a ph meter that's on it's way but it only tells ph and don't have enough for a more expensive one to test other stuff after buying tent genetics lights etc.

If I half to I'm good with buying distilled or spring water etc but I heard distilled might not be good as it lacks minerals. Do you guys think I'd be fine leaving tap water out to remove chlorine as long as I ph it? I bought ph up and down. Another thing I've noticed is my water leaves white marks on dish's I'm guessing it's from hard water and minerals. I just don't want to make mistakes that will render my plants useless.

How many plants are you growing ?
How big are your containers

everyone's tap water is different.
i leave mine out for 24+ hours - which was fine, until the plants get thirsty. i missed a watering here or there because i didn't prepare enough water some days and having open containers everywhere was bothersome, for me.
i have used my tap water almost fresh before too, just allowing it to rise in temperature before giving to the plants - i only did this a couple of times and didn't see any signs of stress, but i dunno - after almost completing a grow with tap water, i'm looking to switch to RO. you can get under-sink systems for 50-60 notes now that seem more than capable. it's an inconsistency in my grow that i feel is worth the investment to fix.

TLDR; you will probably be fine using tap water left out for 24+ hours, but by the time those Livers get big,it'll be annoying
Nice strain choice btw

Thanks bud! I plan to get an ro setup eventually glad to hear it will work for now.

Yeah the Mephisto line caught my eye seems like there real passionate about what they do and I love the Indica's I almost went with Sour Crack but I chose Sour Livers as it has the potency of Sour Crack with the Yield of Sour Livers and I needed the quick speed to get some buds quick for the first crop.

You should also be able to find a recent water test if you are on municipal water it will better help you determine how to use your water
and find out if its chloramine VS chlorine as Chloramines

Chloramines are a combination of ammonia with chlorine. Unlike straight chlorine which dissipates fairly quickly when exposed to air, chloramines remain in the water.

Thanks bud! My city is wack and makes you send in a water sample and pay, would this filter work? (The other one isn't in stock at my walmart) https://www.walmart.com/ip/PUR-Faucet-Water-Filter-FM-2000B-Black/21648738
