Is Onyx a genetically homogeneous strain (IBL / inbred line) that grows uniformly from seed?
What is your experience with seeds from original Short Stuff seeds ? (1st, 2nd, 3rd generation ?)

cheers

Very interested to hear what everyone has to say. I just germinated 5 short mix regular seeds to do a seed run.. Sadly I don't know which strains I have but if there stable enough maybe I can figure it out!

I have grown there MI5 using it in a cross I have to increase the yield and love there Himalayan Blue Diesel strain a lot, one of my favorites. Those 2 are pretty uniform. The HBD is a little more uniform than the MI5.

I have grown it for 3 years nice hardy plant but I got three different looking plants two are great one is just average. Look for the stinky skunk fuel one with long lower branches it rocks.

hey Joe,
perhaps you could answer me this question.
I haven't decided whose seeds to buy but providing myself with seeds for future generations is a weakness of mine;
providing of course that a high proportion would produce equally good stock. I was wondering whether an Onyx male (available regular) would be an interesting and successful cross with "tha shiznit avail as fems only-why I wonder; does availability of in feminised form only signify that its strictly and F1 and not likely to breed true to type???";
this is just one combo from one breeder that appealed to me. any input on successful auto-crosses would be welcome.
thanks mate,
Oldbie.

I have not grown either strain so I cant tell ya. You don't know what ya got tell you grow a few seeds out of a cross. I am a huge fan of the red dwarf from Buddha seeds as of now. I just pulled 106 grams dried from my last plant and the smoke was the best I have ever grown. I would recommend the red dwarf just cuz I have grown it out. I had all my amendments in the soil and did not feed the whole grow, just watered.

Here is what I did last harvest with red dwarf. This plant grows like a bush on its own so dose not need to be topped or anything. There were no immature popcorns either so all the buds were good smoke at harvest. I also got about 1 good ounce of trim off this plant that's going to be blasted in to oil. I cant say how it will grow out side of organics but it dose good for me and my style of growing.
