Is lighting the reason why am I not hitting big yields?

When I started out in a 1m2 tent with 600w hps I was getting massive colas without even trying hard. With 6 plants I was getting 400-500g of nice plump buds.
Now that I'm in a 5x3 tent with two lumatek attis 300w my yields are only between 200-300g with 6 plants. Am I doing something wrong. I follow the manufacturer guidelines on distance from canopy. The colas have never been like hps. Although the quality is much better, I'm still not hitting those yields.
I know genetics, environment and nutrients play a part. My environment is pretty much the same. Genetics are the same. Nutrients are different. I've swapped and changed nutrients a bit finding what works best. When I was using hps I was using biobizz. I've tried advance nutrients, plagron and now I'm on the biotabs to stay and it works great but again I'm not hitting those hps yields.
Am I doing something wrong?
I've heard of LEDs smashing hps but is it real?

I just plucked 17 oz from four plants. Very pleased. I'm on my third light and find my results have got better with each light! Started with a Maxsisun 600 watt blurple. Did ok.....Upgrade to a 1200 watt blurple, did a lil better, Upgraded to a Mars Hydro SP 3000 back in Jan. This light knocks it out of the park in a 2x4 tent.

Hi!! these are my girls just woke up. on the left two think different 33 days from seed and on the right my favorite blue kush 27 days. Both autoflowering under a 250Whps agro light and 2 guerrilla tabs with the addition of just water in an 11-liter pot. In your opinion, should I switch to an LED light for the flowering phase?

300w @ the wall? X2 so 600w draw?

Depends on the LED being used.
I ran hps/mh for quite a while before switching over to led. , Finally decided on DIY 4 maybe 5 years ago.
First I built a 200w system, and then after a run to convince myself it worked, added another 250 for a total of 9 citizen clu-048-1812 in 3500k at 450w from the wall in a 4x4. On a good run with hps I was hitting maybe .8 grams per watt. With this setup, I average closer to 1.6 to 1.8 grams per watt.
Added bonus, under led the best temps are 78-82, so my AC doesn't get the workout it used to... I would like to throw in some far red pucks, but have been pleased with the swap.
