Hello people i am very glad i have found this forum i see that there is a lot of experienced growers in here and everybody needs a little advice from time to time so this is my first post on this forum and i want to ask you if for every watering that we do to our girls we must use citric acid to correct the pH or use it from time to time and not always. I am asking because i have found many confusing info about it ( some say with every watering and some say only every 3 to 4 watering s ) and the truth is that until now one month and a half i was using it with every watering to bring pH to 6,5 with calibrated pH meter and i had a little problem with some nut lockout when i used Epsom salts 1 tablespoon in 4 litres of water. I manage to fix it with flushing first and then small amounts of nutrients with 1 aspirin root juice and vitamins (all the B-complex ) and the problem was reversed. My soil is 50% All Mix 50% Light Mix my pots are 16 litres the water i use is bottled natural mineral water with 7,2 pH marked on the label witch i make 6,5 with citric acid obviously and the nutrients are Biobizz and advanced nutrients. So any input will be deeply appreciated happy to find you guys cheers !!!

citric acid is one of the many different pH Down products that people use.
Use it sparingly to bring down your water's pH but don't over-do it - just enough to get the pH within range.
Some folks will use too much, lower their pH too low then try to add pH Up to bring the pH up only to have to use more pH Down to bring it back down.
I don't recommend doing that - if you bring your water down too much - dump it & try again.
I agree with that but the question is how safe is citric acid to be used with every watering from start to finish with no nutrient lockout in the end and if it would be more appropriate to use it only on feeding days and the rest are only water with no pH correction
thanks for the reply Thai Buddha

Welcome to AFN. You want your pH to be in the correct range every time you feed and/or water, so yes, use it every time.

Nice to be here Muddy thanks for the info. Can i ask something else ? I have used bicarbonate soda to make water pH go up a bit because my last feeding has dropped the pH to 6 i found some info that says is totally not good to use this to bring ph up because it will lock Potassium so sould i flush or not ?

I doubt one feeding will cause any lockout. I wouldn't worry about it unless the plant starts to show a deficiency. I don't like to flush unless absolutely necessary. Besides removing the bad stuff it also leaches a lot of good nutrients out of the soil.
