Indoor In the Rasters of My 4 by 4

This Bahia Blackhead courtesy of @Arkvader13 seems right-sized in a one gallon. I feel confident it can be grown in two gallons without requiring training.

Day 44:

She's really lush and healthy looking and imagine if it was in a 3 gallon pot, then you'd probably have one big mama jama!🤪

If I did that, I think it would definitely be in the light. As stretchy as she is, I can see the yield will be good so I'm pretty happy. If I like this smoke, I still have clones and will run it in a bigger pot.

I have decided, that of all the plants in the flowering tent right now, this is my favorite:

Kumaon Palm Pheno, Day 45
(Afgaan 90 x Kumaoni) [herm] x Purple Canyon Industrial

...and that's a problem. I found a couple of seeds on her yesterday, and after going over her today with a fine-toothed comb, found another ten or so. I've been working this "line" for months (a few other grows) and knew to watch carefully for herms. I haven't seen a banana or speck of pollen. Just seeds and they're probably mature enough to sprout. Large and delicious! They taste like fresh peas from the garden. So I ate them.

I searched the rest of the tent. No herms, not a solitary seed. I guess either I inadvertently pollinated it or it's herming down inside where I can't see. But it would have been five weeks ago or more, judging by the size of the seeds.

But I've got really high hopes for this pheno. So I'm saying innocent until proven guilty. 🫣 I mean, just look at these buds!

The pictures don't do them justice, either. The buds are as dense and hard as any I've ever encountered. Dense and chunky. And she's fattening them up nicely. Not much smell yet, though.

I broke off cola 4 during preseason training :funny: but I'm still going to get a decent yield. So I hope that either she didn't herm, or that if she did herm, she'd at least be worth growing the one time.

#2 (Okay, #2.03): A correction: I decided to up-pot the Bahia because I had to water two days in a row. She's in a #3 now and was in a #2 before, not a #1 as previously reported.

I also mulched her with sand because for some reason the fungus gnats really like this lady. They're not hurting her that I can see but I don't like more than one fungus gnat at a time. That's the rules. :funny::jointman:

Today's spotlight is on Carver Family Farms' Scorpion Candy clone. There's an insert about the pheno attached. It was hunted by swnugget from a local cross of HBK Genetics' Chile Verde with Calco Genetics' Gelato 33 x Blueberry Syrup.

I am really loving this pheno. She's really, really smelly. Industrial chemicals and rotting fruit. Supremely greasy. Frosty. And gorgeous! :woody: And one of two plants (both Carver's cuts, incidentally) that went deep purple when fall set in and the windows stayed open a couple of days. I was still in the winter denial stage at that time. Edit: I went back and read the attachment and realized purple is normal, so....

Her branches are really flexible. Not weak, but like willows. That's fine until she started putting on weight. Now a couple of branches are getting heavy and flopping around and it's only day 44 (week six). They're going to need support so I put a stick in the pot and tied some of the branches to it.

Check out the buds in the pictures below. I wish I could share the smell with you. It's like trying to describe sight. But it's one of the best smells I've smelled in cannabis, personally. I haven't smoked this wonderful plant yet, but so far I'm really liking it. It's reputed to be over 25% THC, so it should be worth running again. And again.

I'm about to run my third Purple Canyon pheno - Pennzoyl. I inadvertently took a second set of cuttings yesterday so I'll be able to self a couple of them in a corner somewhere.

Pennzoyl is one of the stretchy phenos but that might just be because of where she was sitting in relation to the light. I had just started training her when I remembered to take this before picture.

I did a lot of bending and tying because half the height of the last two phenos was air and this strain is capable of great yields if it has enough branches. Massive, even.

Here's after:

I know she looks terrible now but just wait a couple of days! :hippy:

I put an Old School Glue (Greenpoint Seeds) on 12s yesterday after taking some cuttings. @Arkvader13

I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm pretty sure I flipped a little early but I have a few of these to grow out.

A little something for the new year.

Here's my Bahia. She's starting to fill out pretty well, but has a long way to go and I'm getting some ugly spots on the leaves that I need to figure out.
